This is my review of Death Rally from iTunes, posted mostly to encourage the Developers:
“At 99c this is a no-brainer and loads of fun. I don’t know why folks are complaining about the controls. At the hale old age of 44, and as someone who does NOT game I was still able to get to 2 mil, play Extreme races and occasionally beat the Adversary, both on my iPad1 as well as my iPhone4… It’s even better on my new iPad3. The folks who say ‘the graphics are bad’ are smoking something, they look GREAT.
A lot of love went into this game and it shows… Highly recommended by this GenXer who used to play Car Wars, and then Carmageddon.
UPDATE: And then we have all the “pay for play” whiners. FINE. So what if you lose your level in multiplayer moving to a new device? You don’t lose your weapons or cars. Try ‘Restore via Game Center’… It’s not a big deal. Don’t want to pay for weapons or cars? Then wait for a sale and ‘buy’ the Deliverator if you need a good all around car.
This is a great game, looks really nice on my new iPad3. Support the devs and see you on the track!”
I’m not a big fan of unjustified bad reviews of my favorite game. Or of discouraging Devs.
